Inside BTCC is a fully-independent website focusing on the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and was launched in August 2011 after six months of planning to coincide with the second half of the championship campaign.
Originally taking the format of an eMagazine, Inside BTCC evolved to become a ‘go to’ news resource for fans of the series whilst also providing a range of alternative features and statistical articles not seen elsewhere in the online environment.
With a wide range of news websites available to provide day-to-day updates from the championship, the third incarnation of Inside BTCC will now go back to its initial idea; to offer fans something different to the norm.
As such, the website will now become something of a statistical resource that will be gradually built up over time – providing fans, drivers, teams and the media with a vast array of information in one place.
Inside BTCC is run by Matt Salisbury, a long-standing member of the press room who has worked in the BTCC paddock for more than a decade.
A former editor of the motorsport website Crash.net who has been working as a freelance journalist since mid-2009, Matt has been involved with a number of teams in the BTCC paddock in recent years and writes about the series for a range of publications, including AUTOSPORT and TouringCarTimes.
